Are Registered Veterinary Nurses looking to take their career to the next level?
Two dedicated RVNs are being sought for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic chance to gain leadership experience and make a meaningful impact in a supportive and progressive environment.
The hospital is ISFM Silver Cat Friendly accredited and features state-of-the-art facilities, including CT; MRI, laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasonography, dental x-ray, and an in-house laboratory. The new hires will be joining a highly experienced clinical team, including multiple certificate holders, all committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
In this role, the RVN's will be stepping up to support the hospital team in the absence of Lead Nurses. Key responsibilities include managing stock and ordering, providing laboratory support, and focusing on clinical areas such as dentistry. They will also have the chance to mentor student nurses, making clinical coach experience highly desirable. This role involves rotating shifts, including early, late, and occasional twilight shifts, with a 1:6 weekend rota and no out-of-hours work required.
Ideal candidates will be RCVS registered RVN's with at least one year of experience, although strong candidates with less experience will also be considered. Previous clinical coach or supervisory experience is a plus. The hospital is looking for proactive, team-focused nurses with excellent communication skills who are eager to gain leadership exposure.
Extensive development and progression opportunities are offered, including funded external CPD and in-house programmes. The RVN's will gain exposure to hospital-level nursing and specialist services, with the potential for future permanent roles within the group.
Working patterns are flexible, with options for 4 x 10-hour days or 5 x 8-hour days, and rotas are discussed collaboratively. Informal visits, phone calls, or working interviews prior to application are welcomed.
