Veterinary Surgeon - Exotics

This RCVS accredited practice boasts a team of four experienced vets, including an advanced practitioner in Exotics and Dermatology, supported by a fantastic team of nurses, receptionists, animal care assistants, and administrative staff. The practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including dental X-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitor, bair hugger, electrocautery, ventilator, rigid endoscope, and advanced biochemistry and haematology machines. Separate wards for dogs, cats, and exotics, complete with custom-built kennels, ensure the highest standards of care for a diverse caseload that includes dogs, cats, chickens, ferrets, reptiles, birds, wildlife, and small furries.

Situated in historic and picturesque County Durham, the practice fosters a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, with an open-door policy that encourages team members to share their ideas and concerns. Regular social events, such as bowling, meals out, and escape rooms, help to build strong team bonds. 

You will be an experienced and skilled Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with an exotic bias. The position offers a four-day work week, with a 1:4 Saturday rota and no out-of-hours commitments. 

The attractive package includes, a salary of up to £65,000, unlimited CPD/training support, professional fees covered, five weeks of holiday plus bank holidays, birthday off and two annual bonuses. Employees also enjoy a company pension, employee discounts, and sick pay.
