Locum RVN / SVN / VCA

An award-winning mobile veterinary service is seeking a locum to join their esteemed team in Newcastle for 2 to 3 days a week on an ongoing basis, with an immediate start available. This role offers the unique chance to focus solely on consultations, ensuring that patients and clients receive the highest level of care and attention.

This position is open to Veterinary Care Assistants (VCA), Student Nurses, and RVNs who possess the skills and empathy required to handle at-home euthanasia with the utmost sensitivity and professionalism. Your primary responsibilities will include driving the company van, assisting with veterinary appointments, and conducting some nurse consultations, with an average of eight appointments per day.

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a full, clean driving licence and be over 25 years old for insurance purposes. Confidence in driving a van is essential, as you will be the face of this mobile service, bringing veterinary care directly to clients' homes. The working hours are from 8 am to 6 pm, ideally on Tuesdays and Fridays, with some Wednesdays and additional ad hoc days available, there is some flexibility in this area.

In return for your dedication and expertise, you will receive a competitive hourly rate of £21 to £25. This role not only provides a rewarding work environment but also the satisfaction of knowing you are making a significant difference in the lives of pets and their families.
