Are you ready to take your career to the next level and be part of something truly special? This is your chance to join a brand-new, purpose-built veterinary surgery in South West London as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, where your expertise and passion for nursing will truly make a difference.
Imagine working in a state-of-the-art facility, designed with both pets and people in mind. The surgery boasts 8 consult rooms, 3 operating theatres, separate dental and imaging suites, and a spacious prep area and wards. This modern, light, and spacious environment is fully equipped with the latest diagnostics, ensuring a calm experience for pets, comfort for clients, and an inspiring workplace for colleagues.
As a founding member of the team, you will have the unique opportunity to influence how the practice operates, how the team collaborates, and how patient care is delivered. Supported by one of the UK’s largest independent, family-owned veterinary groups, you will be encouraged to fully utilise your skills in nurse clinics, Schedule 3 procedures, inpatient care, anaesthesia, and client education.
In this role, you will be at the heart of delivering exceptional clinical care and an outstanding client experience. Your responsibilities will include supporting vets in consultations, diagnostics, and surgery, running nurse clinics, promoting preventive healthcare, delivering inpatient care, monitoring anaesthesia, undertaking laboratory work, radiography, and theatre duties, and mentoring student nurses. You will provide a warm, professional experience for every client and patient, ensuring the practice runs smoothly day-to-day.
The working pattern is designed to support a healthy work-life balance, with a full-time rota of 4 x 9-hour days, including evenings and weekends on a 1:4 basis. The average working week is 39 hours, with nurse care nights and accommodation provided when required. Flexible working options are also considered.
Recognising and supporting great nursing teams is a priority. Benefits include a monthly nurse recognition scheme, CPD support and development opportunities, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, free parking, staff discounts and so much more.
The modern, spacious surgeries create a calm environment for pets and a positive, collaborative space for teams. Investing in people, supporting development, and creating workplaces where colleagues genuinely enjoy coming to work is a core value.
If you are a qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse who takes pride in delivering excellent patient care, enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team, communicates confidently and compassionately, and wants to fully utilise and develop your nursing skills, this role is for you. Be part of something from the beginning and help shape a brand-new practice.
