New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon – Lincolnshire Coast & Wolds Area

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent or soon-to-be Veterinary Graduate to join a thriving independent small animal practice located between the stunning Lincolnshire coastline and the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds.

This position offers an exceptional environment in which to develop clinical skills and confidence, supported by an experienced and highly qualified team committed to helping new graduates succeed. The practice provides comprehensive clinical support, with Certificate Holders across multiple disciplines and an experienced VetGDP Adviser who has successfully guided numerous graduates through portfolio completion.

The veterinary team comprises 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 13 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 13 Student Veterinary Nurses. The practice is home to Advanced Practitioners in Diagnostic Imaging and Surgery, alongside Certificate Holders in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Ophthalmology.

The successful candidate will have access to excellent facilities, including:

  • Digital Radiography

  • Ultrasound

  • CT and MRI suite

  • Diagnostic and surgical endoscopy

  • Dedicated soft tissue and orthopaedic theatres

  • On-site rehabilitation centre

  • Hydrotherapy and physiotherapy services

These facilities support a varied and interesting caseload, including advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures, providing an ideal learning environment for a new graduate.

Benefits Include:

  • Starting salary of £38,700

  • Rent-free modern accommodation provided away from the main surgery

  • Paid RCVS, VDS and BSAVA memberships

  • Five days of fully funded CPD during the first year, valued at over £5,000

  • Strong encouragement and support for future certificate studies

  • 35 days annual leave

  • One-in-12 out-of-hours night rota

  • One-in-6/7 weekend rota

  • Three days off (Wednesday to Friday) following each weekend worked

The rota structure, combined with annual leave entitlement, provides the equivalent of up to ten weeks away from work each year, supporting an excellent work-life balance.

This role would suit a motivated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon seeking to begin their career within a progressive, well-equipped independent practice where professional development is genuinely prioritised.

Applicants must be qualified Veterinary Surgeons and eligible for registration with the RCVS.
