This full-time role offers a 7 on and 14 off night rota pattern, 8am till 8pm shifts.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN looking for an exciting ECC role with a busy and varied caseload. Previous ECC experience is preferred but if you are an experienced RVN looking to move into a night role then this could also be considered. Working alongside an experienced ECC vet, VCA and reception team, you will gain exposure to advanced clinical skills, including the management of feeding tubes, wound and drain care, anaesthesia monitoring of advanced soft tissue emergency surgery cases, and schedule 3 surgical skills. You will also be managing complex medical caseload including Addisons, Ketocidotic diabetic cases and severe pancreatitis.
Mentorship and CPD opportunities are plentiful, with encouragement to pursue further qualifications when you are ready. The team culture is welcoming and supportive, where learning is celebrated, and questions are always encouraged.
This 24-hour RCVS Accredited Hospital and Emergency Service Centre, established in 2012, provides out-of-hours and referral level support to 19 referring surgeries alongside a thriving first-opinion service. Recently added CT to the state of the art facility, means you will be exposed to a wide variety of cases, from routine care to complex referral patients.
Join a team of 70 colleagues, including vets and nurses with postgraduate certificates across ECC, Small Animal Surgery, Medicine, Dentistry, and Anaesthesia. This nurse-led hospital places RVNs at the heart of inpatient, anaesthesia, and surgical care, fostering a culture of teamwork, teaching, and continuous improvement.
