Looking for a busy, rewarding role in the heart of East London?

Nestled amongst iconic local landmarks including Billingsgate Fish Market, and the famous Columbia Road Flower Market, this thriving East London practice is looking for an additional Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a full-time basis.

Why Join Us?

This well-established practice has been supporting the local community for many years, providing excellent first-opinion care alongside a strong focus on feline welfare as an ISFM-accredited clinic. You'll become part of a friendly, experienced team consisting of 1.2 vets, a Senior RVN and enthusiastic trainee nurses, all working together in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

If you enjoy building lasting client relationships, running nurse consultations and being hands-on with surgical cases, this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday

  • 1:4 branch Saturday rota

  • 1:10 Sunday rotation at Wanstead Hospital (with TOIL)

  • 1–2 bank holidays per year at Wanstead Hospital

  • No on-call requirements

With a busy surgical caseload, you'll gain excellent exposure to anaesthesia and theatre work, while also having opportunities to develop your consulting and nursing skills.

Facilities

The practice is well-equipped with:

  • Digital radiography

  • Dental radiography

  • Ultrasound

For advanced diagnostics, referrals and out-of-hours care, the team is supported by Wanstead 24-Hour Hospital.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Branch RVN, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient and client care, including:

  • Providing high-quality nursing care

  • Assisting veterinary surgeons in theatre and consultations

  • Maintaining accurate patient records

  • Supporting patient welfare and hospitalisation

  • Managing stock and clinical equipment

  • Supporting and mentoring student nurses

  • Assisting with staff induction and training

  • Delivering excellent client care both in person and over the phone

Location

The practice benefits from excellent transport links and is just a short walk from Upton Park station, offering easy access across East London and convenient connections through Liverpool Street.

Who We're Looking For

This role would suit an RVN who thrives in a busy inner-city environment, enjoys working with a diverse client base and wants to learn from an established and experienced team.

Salary & Benefits

£32,000–£36,000 per annum, depending on experience, with genuine opportunities for progression and development.

Plus:

? 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
? Annual CPD budget plus up to 2 days paid CPD leave
? Paid 30-minute lunch breaks
? Access to private medical healthcare at a reduced rate
