Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career? A rare and exciting position has become available for a Clinical Director at a friendly, well-established multi-site practice across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. This role offers a unique chance to lead a dedicated team and make a real impact in a practice renowned for its high clinical standards and excellent client care.
As Clinical Director, you will be at the helm of clinical and strategic leadership, working closely with the practice leadership team to shape the future of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include managing senior team members and veterinary surgeons, overseeing clinical standards and patient care, and leading the development of clinical teams. Additionally, you will contribute to the financial sustainability of the practice by identifying growth opportunities and making informed purchasing decisions.
This autonomous role allows you to mentor and develop your team, fostering both clinical and leadership growth. You will be a champion for the practice's culture and values, ensuring it remains a great place to work. Supported by a Practice Manager, experienced Lead Vet team, Head Nurse, and Head Receptionist, you will also have access to a knowledgeable central support team and a Business Development Director. The practice boasts a strong culture of case discussion, collaboration, and mentoring, creating a stable and supportive environment for you to drive innovation and advance the practice.
The ideal candidate will be a confident MRCVS with strong clinical skills and a collaborative, people-centred approach to leadership. Compassion, approachability, and excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise, delegate, and maintain a progressive mindset. While previous leadership experience is preferred, it is not essential, as full training and support, including access to a Senior Leadership Course, will be provided.
The practice operates across three branches, offering a varied medical and surgical caseload. The team is proud of its extensive nurse consultations and in-house services, including physiotherapy, acupuncture, and ophthalmology referrals.
The package includes a competitive salary of up to £75,000 DOE, a flexible working pattern with a minimum of 30 hours across four days, and a comprehensive benefits package. This includes 6.6 weeks of paid holiday, a CPD budget, membership fees, and a focus on employee wellbeing.
If you are motivated, adaptable, and enthusiastic about shaping the future of a practice through a whole-team approach, this role could be the perfect fit for you. Apply today to join a practice that values excellence, collaboration, and a supportive working environment.
