Ready to thrive in a practice where people and pets truly matter?

A growing, friendly, and forward-thinking veterinary team is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon who shares their values of kindness, respect, and putting pets and their people first. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to feel valued, supported, and part of a team that genuinely cares.

Imagine working in a well-established practice with a loyal and growing client base. For over eight years, this practice has proudly delivered high standards of care in a warm and welcoming environment. Clients often say it feels more like family than a clinic – and that’s exactly how it should be.

Owned and led by a vet and a veterinary nurse, the leadership understands the real-life challenges of clinical work. Their approach is grounded in compassion, honesty, and a deep respect for their team, creating a culture where everyone feels seen and supported. As a member of the Practice Standards Scheme and proud holders of a Good Client Service Award, they are committed to making the practice a place where both team members and clients feel valued.

Join a supportive team of experienced vets, fantastic RVNs, a VCA, and friendly receptionists – all of whom believe in teamwork, learning together, and always making time for a good chat (and a slice of cake!). The clinical facilities include digital x-ray, an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, dental x-ray (coming soon!), and a varied surgical caseload, including orthopaedics.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and approachable vet with at least 2 years’ experience in small animal practice. Key qualities include kindness, enthusiasm, great communication skills, comfort with routine surgery and medical work-ups, openness to learning and collaboration, passion for high standards and animal welfare, and the ability to stay calm and adaptable when things get busy.

Flexibility is valued, and the practice understands the importance of life outside work. Whether full-time or part-time, they will work with you to find a rota that fits – including school hours if needed, and no out-of-hours. The role includes a weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays (9:00am – 6:00pm).

The practice offers a competitive salary up to £65,000 FTE (depending on experience), a generous CPD allowance with funding for certificates, a contributory pension, paid RCVS & VDS memberships, the option to buy extra holiday, exclusive colleague discounts and rewards, and unlimited tea, coffee, and cake.

Join a team where compassion, humour, and teamwork are just as important as clinical excellence. If this sounds like the perfect match for you, apply now and start the conversation.
