Are you an experienced vet searching for a fulfilling role that offers genuine flexibility and a supportive environment? Look no further. This full-time position, with options for part-time split or term-time contracts, offers a competitive salary starting at £65k+, depending on your experience. With a schedule that includes 1 in 4 weekends and no out-of-hours work, this role is designed to provide a healthy work-life balance.

Imagine working in a place where appointments are never rushed. Standard consultations are 15 minutes, but if you need more time, you take it. Lunch breaks are sacred; the practice closes for an hour, allowing you to walk, eat with colleagues, and reset before the afternoon.

You'll be supported by a team of three highly capable RVNs who fully utilise Schedule 3, along with a strong, hands-on support team. The collaborative environment ensures that everyone pitches in, making for a genuinely cohesive team. The facilities are top-notch, featuring a dedicated theatre, large prep area, separate kennels and cattery, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and tonopen. If you enjoy variety, the practice also sees a range of exotics, if that's your thing.

The culture is one of true teamwork. The environment is supportive, honest, and sometimes loud, but always inclusive. There are no hierarchies, egos, or corporate-style pressures. The team values diversity and is working towards an autism-friendly award, actively supporting neurodivergent members. If you want to work somewhere that allows you to be yourself and do your job properly, this could be the perfect fit.

Outside of work, the team believes in living life to the fullest. Holidays are encouraged and supported, and burnout is never normalised. Some team members play netball together, many enjoy fitness and the outdoors, and the practice is located right on the edge of the beautiful Peak District. Dogs are even welcome at work.

The location offers easy access to the M1 and East Midlands Airport, with on-site parking and a genuinely nice client base.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced vet comfortable supporting a new grad. Confidence without arrogance, a good sense of humour, and a genuine care for clients and patients are essential qualities.

If this sounds like the role you've been looking for, take the next step in your career and apply today.
