Veterinary Surgeon - Nights - 7 on 14 off

A busy small animal surgery in Essex is seeking a passionate individual to join their Out of Hours team. This part-time role offers a unique working pattern of 7 nights on and 14 nights off, with shifts running from 8pm to 8:15am on weekdays and 6pm to 9am on weekends.

Situated in a prime location, the surgery provides free on-site parking and excellent transport links, allowing easy access to central London in just 25 minutes and the serene Essex countryside within 20 minutes. The proximity to Stansted, City, and Southend Airports adds to the convenience, making it an ideal spot for both work and leisure.

Join an established clinical team of 14 vets and 18 veterinary nurses, each with diverse interests ranging from medicine to soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. The organisation supports continuous professional development with a generous CPD allowance, enabling you to pursue further studies at certificate level.

The spacious, purpose-built surgery is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including two dedicated operating theatres, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and digital radiographs. Additionally, the practice boasts a full endoscopy unit and access to CT at one of its branches, continually investing in the best technology to enhance client services.

Candidates must have existing UK experience, be confident in sole charge, and possess strong emergency surgical, diagnostic, and medicinal skills. Excellent people skills, flexibility, and a passion for both the practice and team are essential. You should be comfortable in a consult room, providing exceptional customer service and dedication to clients.
