Are you a passionate Farm Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role that offers both professional growth and a supportive team environment?
This position within one of the UK’s largest independent, farm-only practices could be the perfect fit for you. Working across Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, and parts of Derbyshire and North Wales, this role provides the opportunity to work with progressive dairy, beef, and sheep clients, focusing on proactive dairy herd health, fertility, and data-led decision making.
As part of a dedicated team of 21 farm vets and 8 Veterinary Technicians/ATTs, you will benefit from excellent clinical, technical, and administrative support. The practice encourages a collaborative approach, ensuring you have the resources and backing to excel in your role. The on-call rota is well-supported, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Moreover, there is genuine scope to shape the role around your interests and career progression.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Work with progressive dairy, beef, and sheep clients across Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, and parts of Derbyshire and North Wales.
- Contribute to a varied farm caseload with a strong emphasis on dairy herd health, fertility, and data-led decision making.
- Participate in the on-call rota with support from the wider team.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, technical, and administrative colleagues in a single-site, farm-only practice.
Skills and experience:
- A motivated farm veterinary surgeon with a positive, proactive approach.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- A commitment to high standards of farm animal practice.
- An interest in learning, development, and teamwork.
This role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience, fully funded CPD, support towards further qualifications where appropriate, and 30 days holiday.
The single-site working environment ensures strong back-office and technical support, while the large, independent practice provides long-term career development opportunities.
If you are ready to take the next step in your veterinary career and join a supportive, progressive team, apply today to become a valued member of this leading farm-only practice. Your expertise and dedication will be highly valued and rewarded.
