Our clients have been caring for the pets of West Yorkshire for over 60years and continue to pride themselves on providing the highest level of care 24/7. They are currently looking for a knowledgeable, kind and compassionate individual to join their out of hours team as an Emergency and Critical Veterinary Surgeon.
This role is full time, permanent working 5 days on and 7 days off, where you will start your day at 5pm every evening, working until midnight in practice, then midnight to 8am on call from home for inpatients only. During this time there will always be 2 nurses on duty in practice to manage wards and support inpatient care. There are no weekend day shifts, however there is some opportunity to take on additional hours if this is something that would interest you.
The practice itself provides excellent facilities with a modern purpose-built hospital nestled in the heart of stunning West Yorkshire, just a stone’s throw from Leeds and short journey from York city centres. Having gained RCVS hospital status in 2013, the hospital boasts onsite digital x-ray, CT machine, referral level ultrasound scanner as well as full in house laboratory including coags and blood gases etc.
