Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a 100% farm animal role, fixed term, in Northeast Wales?  If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you! 

Our client is a well-established independent farm and small animal practice, with a 90% dairy caseload in the large animal side.  They are currently looking for a down to earth and passionate Farm Vet to join their friendly and close-knit farm team for 12 months, fixed term maternity cover.  

Our clients pride themselves on always providing a top-quality service to their clients and local community.  In joining the team, you will become part of the family, both in practice and in the larger farming community, through meetings, social events, discussion groups, workshops and agricultural shows. You will ideally be friendly, approachable, and confident working both sole charge as part of a larger team.   

This is a full time, fixed term role, with a 1:4 weekend rota, for a Farm Vet with at least 2 years’ experience.  Your daily tasks will consist of all general farm practice duties including active health planning and preventative medicine.  The current farm vet team also provide routine fertility visits/testing with ultrasound scanners and mobile foot trimming. 

The practice itself is in stunning Northeast Wales, surrounded by picturesque countryside, bordering Cheshire.  From here you are just 1-2 hours from Liverpool and Manchester city centre and just a stone’s throw from the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 


  • Generous salary of £40,000 to £60,000 Depending on experience
