The practice has been around since the 1960s and has since grown tremendously. Now in purpose-built premises, they provide excellent facilities for all species onsite. They are well-equipped with BCF scanners, small and equine ultrasound, digital x-ray for small and equine, endoscopy and dental x-ray.
The team is made up of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, including a CertAVP holder and has the great support of 5 dedicated RVNs. You will have a varied role with an interesting caseload, and there is room for special interests which would be encouraged and supported. Caseload is SA 60%, LA 30%, EQ 10%.
You will have the scope to pursue individual specialisation, making your work experience truly unique.
The team value a good work-life balance. You will be working 4.5 days per week with evening surgery ending at 6 pm. You will have 1 in 5 weekends with Monday off and 1 night per week on call (on-call support available if needed).
In your spare time, you can enjoy Border towns, surrounded by stunning landscapes with easy access to great walking, biking and many outdoor activities. They are just over a 60 minutes’ drive to Edinburgh/Newcastle/Carlisle, making it easy for you to explore more.
