The service teams include orthopaedics, neurology, ophthalmology, internal medicine, clinical nutrition, oncology, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, dermatology, Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), anaesthesia and analgesia, diagnostic imaging and physiotherapy.
Experience of working in a referral environment is not required as full support and training will be provided for the successful candidates. The successful candidate will be working alongside our team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Surgical Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants to deliver gold standard veterinary care to our patients.
They are currently recruiting for a talented Multi-disciplinary Registered Veterinary Nurse to support our existing teams in providing exceptional care to our patients.
You will work as part of our large, multi-disciplinary team consisting of consultants, residents, interns, nurses and Patient Care Assistants (PCA). You will see a large and varied referral and emergency caseload, allowing you to work within an exceptional team and develop your career whilst being exposed to cases from all disciplines, including ECC, neurology, dermatology, cardiology, surgery, oncology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require teamwork and dedication to each service and their patients.
Your daily duties will include effective communication with referring veterinary practices; developing care plans in conjunction with consultants; case handovers and communication, liaising with all disciplines to facilitate gold-standard patient care; prioritising and providing holistic inpatient care in a timely manner; supporting patients undergoing general anaesthesia and sedation; facilitating diagnostic procedures, including radiography, ultrasound, CT and endoscopy, and the delivery of specialist and emergency care.
