Are you an experienced night nurse looking for a fulfilling new role with a dedicated night team in the 24-hour emergency clinic of a small animal hospital based in North London? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! 

This role is full time, permanent working 5 nights on and 10 nights off as part of a rolling rota.  You will be joining our clients dedicated night team to support the effective management of overnight and urgent care patients.  Applicants will ideally be hands on, confident working in wards sole charge and supporting with emergency cases as they come in.  Due to the on-call nature of this role you will be flexible in your approach to cases, be able to work well within and supporting the clinical team as well as individually, and able to think on your feet. 

Your duties will include but are not be limited to, caring for inpatients throughout the night, triaging emergency cases as they come in, communicating patient updates and treatment plans to clients over the phone and in person and supporting the vet team in all patient treatment and case discussions.  You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all hospital areas, be proactive in your personal development and training, and provide patient handover at the end of each shift.

This well-established 24hour small animal hospital is based in North London, providing inpatient and emergency care for many of the local practices.  You will be surrounded by great local amenities including fantastic public transport and quick and easy access into the city centre.  The hospital itself is well equipped with over 4 floors filled with all you will ever need, including an intensive care unit (ICU), theatre suite, full diagnostic facilities, separate cat and dog wards and inhouse laboratory. 


  • Generous salary of £34,000 to £37,000
