You will be at the heart of delivering exceptional veterinary care. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, ensuring no two days are the same. From preparing animals for surgery and performing Schedule 3 procedures to monitoring anaesthesia and assisting veterinary surgeons during operations, your skills will be pivotal in providing top-notch care.
Your day-to-day duties will also include conducting diagnostic tests such as blood sampling, urine analysis, and X-rays. You will administer treatments, including injections, medication, fluid therapy, and first aid, all under the guidance of a veterinary surgeon. Dispensing drugs in accordance with professional guidelines and practice protocols will also be part of your remit.

You will have the opportunity to run nursing clinics, educating clients on animal health, prophylactic treatments, diet, and more. Your role will also involve providing nursing care to hospitalised patients and maintaining up-to-date and accurate clinical records.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will contribute to practice promotions, create engaging waiting and consult room displays, and assist with in-house training of new staff and volunteers. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised in telephone and general reception duties, as well as handling client payments and invoicing.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment is crucial, and you will be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of equipment, as well as general cleaning duties throughout the practice. You will also monitor and restock consulting rooms and surgeries as needed.
