If you're seeking an opportunity to join an amazing multi-discipline referral hospital which also provides primary care within an academic setting, that can also offer you the ability to partake in research and publish articles whilst learning via supervised exposure, to referral caseload, then this is the perfect role for you.

Our client has an excellent international reputation in teaching and is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons,  EAEVE and the American Veterinary Medical Association! This purpose built hospital is one of the most advanced and sophisticated in Europe. They provide care to companion animals from across the UK, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with some of the best specialist vets in the world.

You will be residing in the largest city in Scotland, which has recently been named the top cultural and creative centre in the UK. With access to an international airport on your doorstep and excellent access to the rest of the UK from here. 

This is a 12 month rotating internship where you will be required to deliver clinical care under the supervision of the experienced clinical team. On a rotating basis you will partake in referral clinical activities in anaesthesia, EEC, internal medicine, oncology, neurology, soft tissue surgery, radiology and orthopaedics. You will also have direct case responsibility in a primary care out of hours service where you will support student training. 

You will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best clinicians across the disciplines and learn while you work in this fantastic facility. You will receive training via the referral caseload and partake in clinical rounds, seminars and journal clubs. You will be expected to prepare and submit for publication during the 12 months and be involved in clinical research projects throughout the hospital. You would also be required to deliver ad hoc training and supervise undergraduates. 

This role is ideal for recent graduates or with 1-2 years experience in first opinion practice seeking a route into specialism or to just looking to expand their knowledge across all disciplines.
