Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a new opportunity to take your career to the next level? Look no further than our client’s independent 3-site practice, providing the highest standard of care to the pets of Swindon for over 35 years.

Swindon offers easy access to the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds, as well as cities like Bath, Bristol, London, and Oxford. You’ll be just 40 minutes from both Heathrow and Bristol airport, making it easy to go to European destinations on weekends. With great sport facilities and one of the best places in the south of England to buy or rent property, Swindon has something for everyone.

At the main site, they have recently opened a new gold standard cat-only clinic, and the facilities enable them to deal with most cases in-house with little need for referral, enhancing your advancement opportunities.

With a supportive and efficient management team at each clinic, you'll have the resources and support you need to provide top-quality care. They offer a caring support system with an open culture and emphasis on continuous professional development.

As the senior veterinary surgeon, you'll have overall responsibility for the clinical team when the owner is not available. You'll be able to cope with most surgical cases and have the freedom to define your own position within the clinic, ideally with a special interest.

You’ll have several years of experience in practice, with quality of experience being more important than quantity. Further qualifications are desirable but not essential. You must be competent with both medical and surgical cases, with experienced client care skills and the ability to coach others in the veterinary team.

The rota comprises a  4-day week (9 am to 6:30 pm), plus one in four Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm. There is an additional 1 in 4 rota for hospitalised patient care, with emergency work taken by Vets Now.

A starting salary of £65,000 is offered, alongside a generous CPD budget. Visa sponsorship can be arranged.

You must be eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this position.
