Our client is a RCVS accredited 24 hour hospital with a large team of 14 vets based in Essex, close to East London.
They are located 30 mins by train into Londonand easy access to Stanstead airport by rail or road. Whilst being a short car or train drive from the Essex coastline.
They are now seeking two more additional vets to join their team, which sees first opinion and a referral caseload. They have surgical and ophthalmology certificate holders whilst others are currently working towards certificates in various disciplines, including cardiology and medicine. They have a very experienced nursing team, many schedule 3 trained and lots with post graduate certificates, so their vets are well supported in their role. In addition to this, they also have a Hydrotherapist, Physiotherapist and a large front of house support team.
They all work within a state of the art purpose-built facilities which already includes a CT scanner, MRI and rehabilitation. In addition to a high standard of inpatient care, they offer first opinion small animal services as well as outpatient services in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, CT imaging and laser therapy. Due to growth, they are ideally looking for someone with strong clinical experience who loves working in a thriving, vibrant, forward-thinking environment and aspires to high standards of clinical excellence. The candidate must be a competent surgeon who can perform most standard emergency procedures and have the ability to manage complex medical cases.
Standard full time hours are worked over a 4-day week with 1 in 4 weekends; 40-hour rota. They have a dedicated night team so no OOH, however they do have an on call rota which equates to about 3 -4 times in the year thus enabling excellent work life balance.
They offer an attractive salary package up to £65,000 depending on experience. They actively support their vets who are interested in obtaining specialist certificates with no cap to their CPD allowance as development is at the core of what they do. In addition they offer sponsorship for overseas candidates.
