Experienced Veterinary Surgeons looking to excel in Emergency & Critical Care

This RCVS accredited tier 3 practice is at the centre of fifteen referring surgeries providing ECC and referral support. Patients remain in our client's care both day and night giving excellent opportunity to follow up on exciting cases.

The day team includes both Medicine and Surgical Certificate holders to support on difficult cases and encourage development of all our vets.

As a member of the night team, you'll regularly perform Caesareans, Pyometra, Exploratory Laparotomy with enterotomy and enterectomy. On the Medicine side they see many Addisonian, Ketoacidotic diabetic cases and Severe Pancreatitis cases.  You will work alongside an experienced nursing team, all of whom have either completed or are currently undertaking certificates. You'll get the chance to be involved in the following (with support where required):

Oesophageal tube placements
Nasogastric tube placements
Seldinger Chest Drain placements
Silicone Abdominal Peritoneal Drains
Pig tail urinary catheters
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
Urinary catheterisation

Due to the advanced nature of the services offered, the role would suit a candidate enrolled in, or wanting to enrol in, an ECC certificate.
