Our clients are looking for an experienced, proactive and forward-thinking veterinary surgeon to join their team in the vital role of Head Veterinary Surgeon.

This role is full time, permanent and offers flexible hours to suit your lifestyle and external commitments. You will be responsible for managing the practices busy caseload and supporting the clinical team. You will ideally have strong leadership and mentoring skills and have a progressive approach to the business, always maintaining the highest standards of client and customer care. Every day will offer something new and different, so you will do a mix of consultations, surgery and administration/management hours, while preserving the freedom to explore any specific interests you may have.
You will play a big part in the clinical development meetings where open and honest discussions are encouraged to ensure the best path forward for patients, clients and the overall team. You should therefore be confident in communicating your ideas and opinions with a positive attitude and be open to discussing and taking on board the ideas of your colleagues.
The practice itself was purpose built and offers all the usual equipment and tools you would expect, including a full orthopaedic kit, surgical theatres, separate wards, digital x-ray, ultrasound and in-house lab. Being based in beautiful Kent with the stunning East Coastline, scenic walks, activities, shopping, museums and eateries just minutes away and Dover just a short 30minute drive for easy access to central Europe and beyond, you will find it easy to balance a busy social and work life and maintain a positive balance throughout.
Benefits:
Annual salary of £54,600 to £80,000 depending on experience, with an annual salary review
