Veterinary Surgeon – Emergency and Critical Care/Night Role – Hospital Based in London

We have an incredible opportunity for an out of hours Veterinary surgeon to join our clients well-established veterinary hospital based in the South of London.

This role is full time, permanent working a rotation of 5 nights on and 16 nights off.   Candidates will ideally be friendly, hardworking and confident in their abilities.  You should ideally have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be comfortable discussing treatment plans, finances and cases with both clients and colleagues during handovers and case discussions with the whole clinical team.

This role is fast paced and would lend itself perfectly to an energetic vet with a passion for emergency and critical care who can think on their feet, is comfortable working sole charge and part of a team (you will have a dedicated RVN on shift with you the entire night) and who can keep up within a busy hospital environment at night.  Candidates will ideally have some experience working in a similar practice, however this is not essential.

The hospital itself is first opinion and supports the surrounding branch practices with internal referrals, hospitalisation and emergency care.  It boasts specialists in ophthalmology, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, dentistry, dermatology and physiotherapy, allowing them to offer their clients a full range of treatments and care inhouse and ensure continuity of care wherever possible.  It is state of the art, fully equipped with all you could expect from a 24/7 hospital and holds hospital level accreditations from the RCVS as well as Silver Awards from ISFM for their cat friendly clinics.  

Based just southwest of the city centre this location is ideal for anyone who loves the city life and exploring all it has to offer.  With excellent public transport just minutes from your doorstep and both Heathrow and Gatwick Airport just 45 minute’s drive or train journey away, you will never miss an opportunity to travel around the UK or further afield.
