Senior Veterinary Nurse - first time leadership opportunity

About The Role

This full-time position involves a 40-hour workweek, including a 1:3 branch Saturday and a 1:10 Sunday rotation and 1-2 bank holidays a year at the nearby Hospital. You'll receive time off for weekend days worked and there are no on-call requirements, allowing for a better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a senior branch RVN, your duties will include:

- Leading the nursing team to ensure high-quality and continually improving standards of care.
- Assisting the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations.
- Utilising Schedule 3 skills as directed.
- Maintaining and servicing all diagnostic, surgical, and medical equipment.
- Conducting weekly audits of Controlled Drugs in accordance with protocols.
- Managing the reception staff to ensure excellent client care and communication.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the reception area.
- Supporting student nurses as a clinical supervisor.

About You

While prior leadership experience is ideal, it is not essential. Formal in-house leadership training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced RVN ready to step up and make this role their own, working alongside a supportive and engaged team.

About The Practice

The practice is well-equipped for high-standard first opinion GP care. The practice features two consult rooms and a separate colleague area for those much-needed lunch breaks. You'll be joining a fantastic support team and an experienced vet, all eager for leadership to propel the practice further. Additionally, you'll have the full support of an experienced regional manager dedicated to the success of their branches. The practice has great transport links to central and East London.
