Equine Vet Surgeon

Our clients are a busy family run, independent practice with a strong and loyal client base and focus on employee wellbeing and allowing their vets clinical freedom and encouragement to develop their skills.  They are based in the stunning countryside of North London just a stone’s throw from Epping forest and only 20 minutes from London city centre.  There is on site parking (and a car available as part of your role), easy access to the city centre, M25, M11 and Stanstead Airport and fantastic public transport allowing you to travel with ease both for work and in your time off.

The role itself is full time, permanent working 1 in 4 weekends and 1 in 3 evenings on a rota system.  Applicants will ideally have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be kind and compassionate, always maintaining a professional attitude. 

In taking this role you will be joining an experienced and highly trained team consisting of 5 other vets (including a visiting specialist) and 4 support staff.  You will work with a mixture of pleasure and competitive owners, with a varied caseload including ambulatory cases day to day.  You will work closely with the team and confidently sole charge giving you the opportunity to see your treatment plans through from start to finish.

The surgery itself is based in a modern, purpose-built facility, boasting a knock-down room, theatre, stables and work up areas.  It also offers inhouse digital x-ray, endoscope, ultrasound, K-laser, PRP/Stem cell processor and Idexx laboratory.
