Are you an enthusiastic ECC Night Vet looking for a new challenge?

Join an expanding Out of Hours team at a prestigious First Opinion and Small Animal hospital in the charming historical market town on the edge of the Somerset Levels. Nestled close to the coast and just an hour's drive from the vibrant city of Bristol, this location also offers proximity to the iconic Glastonbury.

Become part of a Centre of Excellence, where innovation and high clinical standards are at the forefront. The team prides itself on a supportive ethos and is recognised as an ICC Gold Standard Cat Friendly Practice. This RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital stands among the elite, as only 7% of accredited veterinary practices in the UK achieve this highest standard.

The role involves working alongside a dedicated night nurse, a twilight phone triage nurse, and a twilight Animal Care Assistant, with occasional support from an additional twilight vet. The rota is designed to offer a balanced work-life schedule: Friday and Saturday night 7pm till 8.30am on a 2 on and 2 off rota pattern. There is also flexibility to pick up additional night shifts, such as holiday cover, and the hours and days can be adjusted to suit the right candidate.

The benefits package is comprehensive, including a competitive salary of £70,000 pro rata, depending on experience. Additional perks include coverage of RCVS and VDS fees, a generous CPD allowance, the option to buy and sell holiday, and enhanced sick, maternity, and paternity pay. Health Plan Scheme, a pension scheme, visa sponsorship and a cycle to work scheme further enhance the offering.

If you have experience in emergency or critical care and are interested in learning more or applying, please reach out to Debbie Loding through Debbie@vettedrecruitment.co.uk or 07384 551799 today.

You must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this role.
