Our client is a fantastic Independent veterinary practice with long standing team offering first opinion and referral services to the local community of Oxford. They are now in the exciting position due to maternity leave and growth of the business, where they can expand their team and are looking for an empathetic and hardworking RVN to join the team. Your role will be to support the clinical team, help grow the business day to day and provide the highest standard of care to clients and pets.
This role is full time, permanent, however they are open to 12-month fixed contract if this would better suit your needs at this time. You will work 1 weekend in 5, with time off in lieu the following week, as well as 1 late weekday per week to check and care for stable inpatients.
Applicants will be proactive and passionate about feline care. You will ideally enjoy building a rapport with clients and getting to know your patients on a one-to-one basis. Feline experience or additional qualifications is desirable but not required. The current supportive and experienced team of vets, nurses and support staff will be there to guide and coach you through the first few months in this role, helping to build your knowledge and skill set.
The practice itself boasts fantastic facilities with in-house digital x-ray suite, including dental x-ray and ultrasound, endoscopy equipment and operating theatre. They are a gold standard cat friendly clinic, offering first opinion consultations as well as referrals and an exciting array of nurse clinics.
Nestled on the edge of Oxford this practice offers a fantastic location to explore in your free time, with each access to the M40 and M4 and just 1 hour drive from Heathrow airport for travel further afield. While there is some parking on site, this practice has bus stops right outside allowing for easy travel by car or bus and is only a stones throw from London.
