The practice itself offers state of the art facilities and the highest standard of pet care using smart technology to offer affordable care to their clients.  Having spent the last decade building up their varied and supportive client base, they have grown into one of the largest Independent first opinion practices in the UK.  As they move into the next decade of caring for pets in the community they have exciting expansion plans, including adding a permanent CT allowing them to offer a greater level of inhouse services to their clients.  

The role itself involves assisting veterinary surgeons in delivering high standards of care and treatment to patients. You will undertake a variety of nursing duties, including theatre, consulting and ward responsibilities and reception on a rota basis. Maintaining a clean and professional environment, adhering to clinical standards and ensuring accurate patient records are key aspects of this position.

Main Duties:
- Reception duties include greeting clients, managing appointments, processing payments, and ensuring all laboratory samples are correctly handled. 
- Theatre duties involve preparing for surgeries, assisting with anaesthesia, and maintaining stock levels. 
- Consulting duties include aiding veterinary surgeons during consultations, performing nurse clinic appointments, and ensuring consulting rooms are well-stocked and clean.
- Ward duties require regular monitoring of patients, administering medication, participating in ward rounds, and ensuring wards are clean and tidy. The role also involves obtaining samples for laboratory testing and assisting with the re-sterilisation of surgical kits.

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a welcoming approach when dealing with clients and the public. The ability to perform Schedule 3 procedures under the guidance of a veterinary surgeon is essential, as is having a passion for always providing the highest level of patient and client care.

This position offers you the chance to work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the training of student veterinary nurses and participating in regular practice meetings.
