Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Norfolk

Are you ready to elevate your veterinary career and step into a leadership role? My client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic chance to make a significant impact while enjoying a supportive and enriching work environment.

You will be part of a close-knit team of four vets, including two seasoned professionals and two new graduates, supported by a large nursing and support staff team. Purpose-built practice equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a brand-new ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy, tonometry, slit lamp, multi-parameter units in all theatres, and a full in-house laboratory.

As a Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding the veterinary team. Focusing on the support and professional development of the new graduate veterinarians, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide top-quality care. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the team to manage a varied caseload and demonstrating ownership of their actions.
- Providing top-class clinical standards and client care.
- Offering hands-on coaching and guidance to veterinarians and veterinary nurses.
- Designing and delivering training sessions on the latest veterinary practices, procedures, and technologies.
- Assessing the progress of team members and creating tailored development plans to enhance their skills and knowledge.

You will be a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a proven track record in mentoring or coaching veterinary professionals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to inspire and motivate others. A specialisation in feline medicine is highly desirable.

Candidates must hold a Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and full registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
