If you are seeking an exciting chance to advance your career while caring for animals, this outstanding independent practice presents precisely that opportunity at its primary hospital. Conveniently situated just a 40-minute drive from Blackpool and slightly over an hour from both Liverpool and Manchester, it offers accessibility alongside professional growth and stability.  With over 75 years of experience, they've recently transitioned to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility boasting RCVS PSS Hospital status. This modern practice presents an array of medical and surgical cases, supported by top-notch amenities including seven consultation rooms, dedicated bereavement area, dual theatres, a dental suite, diagnostic suites, five separate wards, ultrasound, digital and dental X-ray capabilities, endoscopy services, an in-house laboratory, and a hydrotherapy centre.

Their team of nine experienced small animal vets includes multiple certificate holders and AVP's, alongside visiting specialists including a cardiologist, advanced soft tissue surgeon, diagnostic imaging expert, and physiotherapist. Operating round-the-clock, they provide 24-hour care with a dedicated night team, complemented by a nursing and support team consisting of 16 registered veterinary nurses, student nurses and other support personnel.

Our clients are passionate about nurturing new talent and have a keen focus on skill development and growth within their team. They are currently seeking a recently qualified veterinary surgeon for a full-time position, including one in four weekends, as well as an experienced vet, potentially a certificate holder, for a supportive role. The latter role entails one in three Saturdays with negotiable weekday hours to accommodate your needs.  The full time, recent graduate position consists of a four-day week with a one-in-four weekend on-call rota, balanced with compensatory time off.  The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and be dedication to their role and always providing exceptional care.  Applicants should be kind and considerate towards patients, clients, and colleagues and have excellent communication skills.

As a genuinely independent practice, the directors not only provide leadership but also actively participate in clinical work, offering support during out-of-hours shifts. This hands-on approach ensures that they are readily available and approachable daily.
