Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to develop as a new graduate veterinary surgeon?

Join our client's passionate and dedicated team, offering high standards of care while constantly seeking areas for improvement. They prioritize creating a happy and supportive working environment that values work-life balance and mental health support. Currently, they are working towards becoming accredited by RCVS, ISFM, and RWAF.

The team comprises two experienced vets with a combined experience of over thirty-four years who are eager to mentor and share their knowledge in a supportive and constructive manner. You will also have the support of an experienced Head RVN/owner, an FT RVN, a PT Veterinary Care Assistant, two Client Care Advisors, and a supportive Practice Manager.

As a locally-owned practice, they offer clinical freedom and encourage input from all team members. Regular team meetings and 1:1 sessions ensure that everyone has a voice in shaping how things are done and allows for individual and practice development.

They offer flexible full or part-time hours and are willing to discuss a rota that accommodates your commitments. Whether you prefer weekend-only shifts, childcare-friendly hours, full or half days, they will strive to achieve the work-life balance you need. Operating hours are from 8:30 am to 7 pm on weekdays, 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, and 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays. The current weekend rota is 1 in 2, extending to 1 in 3. There are no out-of-hours.

Your workload will primarily involve small animal cases and some exotics, encompassing first opinion consultations, medical work-ups, and surgeries. They prioritize allowing everyone to have their lunch break and allocate dedicated periods for administrative tasks such as case follow-ups and lab reports. Their loyal client base and great location ensure a good variety of cases, including some interesting exotics like Meerkats and Coatimundis.

Joining their team means becoming part of a dynamic group with a strong focus on preventive health. They pride themselves on excellent client care and high pet welfare standards. Therefore, they require individuals who share their values and uphold their high standards. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a supportive team environment, enjoys building relationships with loyal clients, and is committed to delivering top-notch clinical care to patients.

The practice was rebuilt in 2021 and the area provides easy access to buses, train stations, and motorways. The location is perfect for exploring Scotland during your time off, with Dundee only half an hour away, Edinburgh just over an hour away, and the Cairngorms a little over two hours away.

You must be eligible to register with RCVS to be considered for this position.
