Veterinary Surgeon

We have the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon eager to find a new role in a supportive and friendly environment, offering a varied caseload, working with, and learning from a fantastic team of experienced clinicians every day. 

Our clients are looking for a dedicated, positive and confident veterinary surgeon to join their team and help them continue to provide excellent personalised care to the pets of the community.  They are an Independent practice that was established over 45 years ago and are based in the stunning Norfolk area, right on the East coast of England.  The views, beaches and countryside within a stones throw of the practice will leave you in awe, with lots of opportunities for walking, open water swimming and so much more in your free time. 

It also offers easy access to Norwich city, just 30 minutes away, where you will find a fantastic mix of architecture, history, culture and independent eateries, bars and shops.  For travel further afield you will be just a short drive from Norwich airport and under 2 hours from London Stanstead airport, and as a bonus, if you miss the bustling city centre in your free time, the practice is less than 3 hours straight drive from London city centre.

The role itself is full time, permanent and offers a flexible rota, allowing you a great work life balance.  Out of hours care is covered by a neighbouring practice meaning there is no out of hours requirements within the role and the latest finish is 6.45pm during the week, again ensuring good balance and focus on your wellbeing.

Candidates should have at least 12 months experience working in practice, be confident working sole charge and work well as part of a team.  You should be friendly and supportive and keen to develop your skills and progress in your career year on year.

This role would be great for someone looking to improve their skills in imaging, general medicine and/or surgery as they have a friendly and supportive team of 4 experienced Vets (3 of whom already have further certificates) excited to work with you and happy to help you expand your knowledge.  As the owner and senior veterinary surgeon works full time, they are able to act as your mentor on a regular basis with the support of the other vets.

As well as a salary of £35,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience) our clients offer a generous benefits package, actively encourage external CPD and a truly flexible rota.
