Are you a friendly and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon looking for a new role where you will be supported in your development and encouraged to progress in your career, while working with a varied caseload and fantastic team?

Our clients are a 2-branch RCVS accredited practice based in the southeast of England.  The practice itself has purpose-built premises, fully equipped with a whole range of state-of-the-art equipment including digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopes, laparoscopic kit and everything else you would expect of a first opinion practice.

The role is full time, permanent however part time candidates will be considered.  Your working week will be Monday – Friday 9am to 6pm with 1 in 6 weekends (8am – 5pm).  There are no out of hours and admin time is built into your day, with consults lasting 15 minutes and consultation blocks lasting no longer than 2.5hours each.  This role offers a mix of surgical and consulting hours and would be ideal for someone who has particular interests in exotics or orthopaedics, however this is not a requirement.

Applicants will ideally be energetic and bubbly, working well as part of a team and sole charge and be confident in their abilities.  You will have a passion for always providing high quality care and enjoy building relationships with clients and patients and following cases through.   As this role is based across both branches you must be willing and able to travel between branches as required (roughly 15 minutes by car, with public transport also readily available).  The smaller branch is sole charge, with minimal routine operations and you will have a larger team and perform major ops and treatment with the support of the team at the main branch.

Both practices are located just a stone’s throw from the stunning southeast coast line offering you fantastic restaurants, beaches and seaside towns to explore during your free time. For those who enjoy a mix of the calmer seaside lifestyle and the hustle and bustle of the city, you are just over an hour by train from London city centre and just 15 minutes from Canterbury for greater option of shops and entertainment.  For travel further afield you are also just under 1.5 hours drive and just over 2 hours journey by train from London Gatwick and Stanstead Airport.

Benefits:

  • Salary £38,000 to £70,000 depending on experience

  • Up to 7 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, plus additional days for length of service

  • Professional memberships paid for

  • No out of hours

  • CPD and further certificates supported and actively encouraged

  • Admin time built into you day

  • Staff discount
