This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a dynamic and well-respected team at a thriving, multi-site small animal practice in the West Midlands. What makes this role stand out?
The successful candidate will be based primarily at the practice’s RCVS-accredited Veterinary Hospital, with some support across nearby branches. They’ll join a team where development, collaboration, and gold-standard care are genuinely at the heart of everything. This is the ideal role for a confident vet who enjoys a balance of consults, surgery, and dentistry, and who wants to be part of a supportive environment where they can learn from and contribute to an experienced team—including 16 vets, 7 certificate holders, and a further 6 currently working toward certificates in areas like cardiology, dermatology, medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, and soft tissue/orthopaedic surgery.

The practice's size, varied caseload, and insured client base allow for a rewarding clinical experience, whether you’re honing your skills or working toward certification. The team are equally happy to support vets currently studying for or aspiring to undertake a certificate.

A well-balanced work life:

-Hours: Full-time or part-time (35 to 40 hours per week) Weekends: 1 in 10 full weekends (Sat–Sun), 1 in 5 Saturdays – with time back in lieu

-No out-of-hours, thanks to a dedicated night team

-Last appointments at 6:30pm weekdays

-Weekend work shared fairly, with generous time off in lieu

-Flexible working options available, including part-time contracts (35+ hours)

-12 operating theatres

-On-site nursing team and overnight nurse cover

Salary & Benefits Package:

-Up to £65,000 per annum (DOE)
