We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and friendly veterinary surgeon to join this fantastic team in East Sussex.
Our clients run a well-established veterinary practice with a supportive and enthusiastic team and are currently looking for a veterinary surgeon to join them and help drive the practice forward.
This role is full time permanent, working 40 hour weeks, over 4 days, working 1.5 weekends (1 full weekend and 1 Saturday) every 5 weeks. Although this is based on a full time position, part time applicants and flexible working requests will be considered. Applicants will ideally be approachable and confident in your abilities. You will understand the importance of building strong relationships with your team and clients/patients, built on trusts and sincerity.
You should ideally be enthusiastic about building on your current knowledge and be passionate about providing exceptional client/patient care.
Experienced applicants should be confident and competent in all routine surgery and medical cases and always work cases up to the highest standard. The practice will offer you support based on your individual needs and actively encourage additional CPD and further certificates in the areas you are passionate about, if this is of interest to you.
In taking on this role you will be joining and strong and friendly team of 4 vets, 6 nurses, 4 student nurses, 6 receptionists and an experienced practice manager. The clinical team consists of a mix of new graduates and certificate holders, with interests including small animal oncology, diagnostic imaging, rabbit nursing, emergency and critical care, surgery and exotics. They are keen to support ongoing training and special interests with a generous annual CPD allowance and the option of consult or surgical only roles, as well as being able to offer flexible working patterns to match your requirements.
The practice itself boasts a good small animal caseload with some exotics and is well equipped with state-of-the-art premises and equipment. Based in East Sussex, 40 minutes south of London by train and just 15 minutes drive from Gatwick airport this practice is ideally suited to anyone who loves to travel in their free time or is relocating to the UK from overseas and is looking for easy access to flights home on a regular basis. There is ample parking on site for those who drive and great bus links just a few minutes’ walk from the front door, as well as an array of local shops, restaurants and bars so you will never be at a loss for things to do in the evenings and on your days off.
Benefits:
Annual salary of £40,000 to £65,000 depending on experience
