Are you an equine and large animal vet looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive and close-knit team? An independent veterinary practice based in Lancashire, established since 1992, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their family-like team. This role offers an excellent balance of equine (70%) and farm animal (30%) work, making it an ideal position for those who are passionate about both fields. The practice is also happy to consider recent graduates with an equine background or 100% equine vets looking for a new challenge and are happy to provide training for the farm side of the role.

The practice is renowned for its long-standing team members, with some having been part of the family for as long as 18 years. This speaks volumes about the supportive and collaborative environment you will be joining. The clinical support team is exceptional, ensuring you have all the assistance you need to provide the best care for your patients.

The working hours are designed to offer a great work-life balance, with Monday to Friday shifts from 9 am to 5 pm. There is one day on call during the week and a 1 in 5 weekend rota, with time back in lieu to ensure you have ample time to recharge. The practice is committed to supporting junior vets with on-call duties, always ensuring two vets are on call for added support.

The role comes with a competitive salary based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. This includes 33 days of holiday, paid Continuing Professional Development (CPD), private healthcare, a car and fuel card, phone, and laptop.

If you are looking to join a practice where you can grow professionally while being part of a warm and supportive team, this role could be the perfect fit for you. Embrace the chance to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and passion for veterinary care will be valued and nurtured.
