Whether you are newly graduated and looking for a practice that offers a supportive and vet focused graduate development programme or have years of experience and are looking for the right practice in the right location, this is one opportunity not to be missed.

Our clients are a 2-branch small animal practice in Warwickshire.  The team currently consists of a tight knit clinical team of 7 veterinary surgeons, 8 registered veterinary nurses and 5 student nurses and an enthusiastic support team, led by the practice manager.  They are generally allocated to one branch with a senior in place at each practice to help promote stability and continuity of care. Together the team thrive on providing the highest level of care to the pets of the community day after day.

This role is full time, permanent working 38hr weeks, with regular Saturdays on a rota-based system and no Sundays.  As our clients believe a good work life balance is paramount, they are happy to offer flexibility in this and develop a rota that works for you and the practice based on your lifestyle and responsibilities.  Applicants will be empathetic and strong team players.  You will have excellent English, both written and spoken and be able to communicate with team members and clients with respect and compassion.

More experienced candidates should be confident in working sole charge in consultations, managing clients and in performing basic surgery.  You should also be happy working alongside the larger team, discussing cases and remaining flexible throughout the day to provide support if required.

For new graduates joining the team and the practice graduate development program, you will have a dedicated mentor/Vet GDP Advisor from day one, who will work with you to ensure you have the support you require throughout your first two years.  With regular catch ups and time to plan your development and discuss cases, concerns, and everything in between.   You will ideally already be confident in basic areas of GP medicine and excited about developing your skills further.  Working with your GDP Advisor your case load will gradually increase as you build your confidence at your own pace.

Benefits:
Generous starting salary:
New graduates £34,000 as part of the Graduate Development Programme
Senior Veterinary Surgeons - £40,000 to £70,000 depending on experience.
28 days paid holiday + additional days for length of service
Professional membership fees paid
Annual CPD allowance plus time off, including funding towards certificates.
Pension scheme.
Visa/sponsorship available.
Cycle to work scheme.
Parking available at the practice with regular buses passing throughout the day.
