This role is full time, permanent, with a 4-day week and 1 in 5 weekends (full days). You will have the opportunity for flexibility in your hours and will have no sole working. You will be based in a busy, first opinion hospital in the Greater Manchester area, where you will be joining a strong team of experienced veterinary surgeons and have the backing of a caring and proactive nursing team. As you will never work sole charge, you will always have the benefit of the team beside you for case discussions and support.
Ideally you will be forward thinking, experienced and passionate both in your role, encouraging your team and working together to providing exceptional care every day. You will also ideally have or be working towards further certificates as our clients appreciate the importance of personal development and encourage CPD at all levels, with most of the vet and nursing team boasting further qualifications/certificates.
Within your role you will rotate between theatre, inpatient teams and consulting, which means the role provides you with the freedom and opportunity to choose a bias towards a consulting only position, orthopaedic surgery or inpatient care, depending on your interests.
The hospital is open 24/7 and boasts separate waiting, consult and kennel areas for dogs and cats to ensure the best environments possible for patients during their visits. They also have a designated quiet room, three sterile theatres, dental suite and onsite radiography facilities. As well as specific isolation Facilities, ICU ward and in-house laboratory.
The hospital itself is in Greater Manchester, allowing you easy access to the city centre and is just over 1hr from the centre of Liverpool. This fantastic location provides you with a generous mix of lush countryside and bustling city centres to keep you inspired in your free time and offers quick access to multiple airports and train stations for travel further afield.
