Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon looking for a fulfilling new role in an independent practice, offering a strong surgical caseload and supportive environment? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

This role is full time permanent, working 4 days a week and 1in4 Saturdays, 8am to 4pm. The practice has an out of hours (OOH’s) provider over the weekend, however, do cover their own OOH’s during the week, so you will also work 1 night shift per week. This will be paid on an hourly and case seen basis.

Applicants will ideally have at least one year of experience working in practice and be confident and happy working both sole charge and as part of a team. All interests welcome here and the owner is keen to assist anyone with their further education in their specialist area.

You will be joining a team of three other vets, with over 45 years’ experience between them, a skilled nursing team, with a Head RVN who has just completed their surgical certificate and exceptional support team. This practice offers a great culture within the practice, with the team working closely together and supporting each other day to day. This is clearly a trait that has been passed on by the practice owner who understands the importance of personal wellbeing, teamwork and the part further development plays in both personal and practice growth and success.

The practice itself consists of 3 branch surgeries, all located within 30minutes of each other on the southwest coast of England. You will be based in the main branch which was purpose built to provide the best possible facilities for staff, patients and clients, with a spacious waiting area and two large, air-conditioned consult rooms. As well as operating theatres, specific dental area, radiography suite, intensive care area, isolation area and separate cat and dog wards. While you will be based in this practice you may be asked on occasion to cover for one of the other practices.

Benefits:

· Generous salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience

· Professional memberships paid

· Company pension

· Tailored CPD allowance

· Support and Funding to complete further certificate

· Discount for employee pets

· Enhanced sick pay

· No weekend OOH’s
