Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon looking for a role where the team truly makes a difference? Nestled in the picturesque Hampshire, this well-established practice is seeking a dedicated professional to join their close-knit team.

Imagine working alongside a supportive group of 2 full-time vets, 4 RVNs, 1 VCA, 1 RVN practice owner, and 4 receptionists, many of whom have been with the practice for over five years. This sense of camaraderie and stability is further enhanced by the backing of two off-site clinical practice owners and four sister surgery clinical teams, comprising approximately 21 vets.

Opened in 2016, the practice boasts an active client base of around 3000, providing a substantial surgical load. This role is perfect for a veterinary surgeon with excellent consulting skills who is eager to engage in more surgical days.

The position offers a balanced work schedule, averaging 40 hours a week across four weekdays, finishing at 19:00, and one in three Saturdays, finishing at 18:00. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties, ensuring you can maintain a healthy work-life balance. Enjoy the luxury of one weekday off per week, a full year's rota planned in advance, and the practice is currently closed on Sundays with no plans to change this. Most lunch hours and workdays finish on time, and you will have at least three mornings of surgery each week. Appointments are a mix of 15 and 30 minutes, catering to an active patient base that is 67% canine, 27% feline, and less than 6% rabbit and exotic. Regular vet meetings and admin time throughout the day are also part of the package.

In terms of benefits, the role offers a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £70,000, depending on experience. There is a CPD budget of £1,750 plus five paid CPD days, with certificates encouraged and supported separately from the CPD budget. Membership fees to RCVS, VDS, and BVA are covered, along with income protection, life assurance, and optional private medical insurance. Enjoy generous staff discounts on pet care for you and your immediate family, paid birthday leave, pension contributions, and third-party discounts. If applicable, three-year working visa application fees will be paid.

Join a team where your skills and experience will be valued, and where you can truly make a difference.
