Are you a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and supportive environment? A busy small animal surgery in Essex is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join their Out of Hours team. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced setting and are passionate about delivering exceptional care to both pets and their owners.

Enjoy a competitive salary of up to £80,000 (not pro rata). This part-time position offers a unique working pattern of 7 nights on and 14 nights off, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. The hours are Monday to Friday from 8pm to 8:15am, and weekends from 6pm to 9am.

Located in vibrant Essex, the surgery boats free on-site parking and excellent transport links. You can reach central London in just 25 minutes or escape to the Essex countryside within 20 minutes. The location is also convenient for Stansted, City, and Southend Airports.

Join an established clinical team of 14 vets and 18 veterinary nurses, each with diverse interests ranging from medicine to soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. The surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including two dedicated operating theatres, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, digital radiographs, a full endoscopy unit, and access to CT at a nearby branch. Continuous investment in cutting-edge technology ensures the highest level of care for patients.

Applicants should have existing UK experience, be confident in sole charge, and competent in most emergency surgical procedures. Strong diagnostic and medicinal skills are essential, along with excellent people skills and a flexible approach to practice. A passion for the profession and dedication to the team are crucial.

In return, the surgery offers excellent career development opportunities due to the varied case load, a contributory pension scheme, generous CPD with funding for certificates, paid memberships (RVCS, BVA, VDS), and exclusive company discounts and rewards. A dedicated onsite day and night team ensures 24/7 care for all patients, providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.

If you are ready to take the next step in your veterinary career, this role offers a fulfilling and rewarding path.
