Veterinary Surgeon - Cheshire
Are you an experienced vet eager to join a supportive and innovative practice? Imagine working in a place where your special interests are not only encouraged but also supported with cutting-edge AI technology. This role offers a competitive salary of around £60,000 (FTE, DOE) and provides an environment where you can truly thrive.
Join a wonderful practice at an exciting time of growth and innovation. With new AI technology in place, you'll have more time to dedicate to your patients, and continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities to master these innovative tools. The practice is committed to supporting your growth, whether through certificates or other CPD avenues.
This full-time role includes a manageable schedule with 1 in 5 Saturdays (9 am to 12:30 pm), no out-of-hours (OOH) work, and no Sundays. Part-time arrangements can also be considered to suit your needs. The practice boasts a beautiful interior design, creating a pleasant working environment.
Ideal candidates will have experience in dentistry, cardiology, or laparoscopy. However, if you are an experienced consult-only vet or have another special interest, your application is still very welcome. You will be supported by a large, experienced clinical team, offering a wealth of knowledge and development opportunities. Consult times are set at 20 minutes, ensuring you can provide thorough care to your patients.
Located in picturesque Cheshire, the practice is easily accessible via local transport routes. The area offers the best of both worlds with its bustling city centre and beautiful surrounding countryside, and is less than an hour from both Liverpool and Manchester.
The team consists of 7 vets, 7 RVNs, and 3 receptionists, led by a dedicated practice manager. The varied caseload includes a high proportion of insured pets and proactive clients, providing a rich learning environment. The team enjoys socialising outside of work, from sporting events and charity activities to long dog walks and pub gatherings, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, with structured diaries to ensure timely finishes, dedicated phone call and paperwork time, and fully blocked-out lunch breaks. Nurses are on hand all day to assist in consults, ensuring smooth operations.
Benefits include a competitive salary around £60,000 (DOE, FTE), a generous CPD allowance, a contributory pension scheme, paid annual memberships, and exclusive company discounts and rewards.
The practice values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment. Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you believe you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, your application is encouraged.
