Are you ready to elevate your veterinary career? We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our client’s dynamic team in their Kent practice. This role offers the perfect blend of professional growth, state-of-the-art facilities, and a supportive work environment.
The practice itself boasts exceptional facilities, with cutting-edge clinical equipment, including an in-house lab supported by Zoetis Imagyst, ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, and advanced anaesthetic monitoring machines. The clinic also specialises in laparoscopic procedures, offering a broader scope than most practices.
The practice management team understands the importance of investing in both the practice and its team and are therefore always looking at ways to improve their facilities and support their team’s development. Certificates are encouraged, with support for those wishing to specialise and current team members, holding advanced certificates and are keen to mentor new vets and support you in your career journey.
Enjoy a full-time position with a 4-day work week (40 hours: 8.30am-7pm) and a 1 in 3 or 4 Saturday morning rota, with time returned in lieu. There are no out-of-hours requirements, ensuring you have ample time to enjoy life outside of work. You will be involved in all aspects of clinical work. You will work closely with Clinical Director, Practice Manager and Head Nurse, supported by a strong team of vets and RVNs. Your input will be valued in improving clinical practices and the working environment.
Candidates will ideally have some experience in practice, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and work well as part of a team. This role is about joining a team that values collaboration and support, not just filling a position.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary starting from £35-47k, depending on experience
- Generous annual CPD allowance & 5 days off to complete training (more for certificate holders)
- RCVS & VDS fees paid, plus one professional membership of your choice
- 6.6 weeks paid holiday (including Bank Holidays)
- Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave, and surrogacy pay
- Generous discount on veterinary fees
- Cycle to Work scheme
- Company sick pay
- Annual pay reviews with a focus on employee wellbeing
If you are passionate about providing the highest level of care to patients and clients and are looking for a practice that supports your professional growth and well-being, we would love to hear from you.
