Are you a passionate Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a thriving small animal practice?

Situated in a charming town on the edge of Nottingham, just 4.5 miles from Nottingham’s bustling city centre and close to the picturesque Peak District, this role offers an excellent blend of professional growth and work-life balance.

This well-established practice boasts a bright, spacious, and air-conditioned surgery, purpose-built to industry-leading standards. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasonography, endoscopy, an advanced ultrasound machine, medical class 4 laser, and in-house laboratory facilities, this practice is dedicated to providing top care to its ever-growing client base.

Led by an experienced duo, the team comprises 5 Vets, 5 Nurses, and 4 receptionists. The practice owners; bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the practice, ensuring a supportive and collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will be confident, friendly, and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills. Strong general small animal surgical and medical abilities are essential, along with a desire to continually learn and improve. While experience in a busy environment is preferred, those with a keen interest in internal medicine or consult-only Vets are also encouraged to apply.

This full-time role typically involves a 4-day work week with 1:4 Saturdays, and notably, there are no out-of-hours, Sunday, or bank holiday commitments. This ensures a healthy work-life balance, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Robin Hood country.

In return for your dedication, the practice offers a competitive salary of up to £63,000 (dependent on experience), a generous CPD allowance with funding towards certificates, and an initial holiday allowance of 5.6 weeks, rising to 6.6 weeks after two years of service.
