Equine Veterinary Surgeon - supportive and collaborative team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, experienced six-vet equine-only team based in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. This role becomes available as a valued colleague moves on in the New Year, offering the chance to step into a close-knit, collaborative and genuinely supportive team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will enjoy a predominantly ambulatory, first-opinion caseload, supported by shared out-of-hours emergency cover on a 1-in-5 rota. The work is varied and rewarding, with a mix of routine and more complex medical and surgical cases.

Support is a real strength of this role. Day-to-day work is backed by an equine nursing assistant, an outpatient clinic, and a highly organised team including:

-Out-of-hours nurses who manage emergency calls
-Experienced receptionists who help keep the day running smoothly
-Access to an in-house laboratory for fast, reliable diagnostics

This structure allows vets to focus on clinical work while feeling well supported at all times.
