Are you searching for a role in a well-equipped hospital practice, surrounded by a large, experienced team that offers unwavering support?
Imagine working in a place where the leadership team truly listens to you as an individual. This could be your next career move.
From the very first meeting, the focus is on you. A rota will be tailored to ensure a healthy work-life balance, allowing you to fully enjoy living in a National Park area with a stunning coastal location. The practice places a strong emphasis on teamwork, and the team is everything. Why not come and meet them for a chat?
Two new Small Animal Vets are being sought to join this dynamic team. One of these positions is ideal for a candidate with the experience to undertake more advanced surgical and diagnostic procedures, and who has the career drive for potential future development. However, if you simply want to be part of a skilled and experienced team in a strong, supportive practice, that’s perfectly fine too!
The Small Animal team comprises 19 vets, 21 RVNs, and 3 SVNs, including several certificate and diploma holders, as well as those currently studying for certificates. The hospital is well-equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound, radiography, dentistry, endoscopic, surgical (including laparoscopic), and ICU equipment, along with an internal laboratory staffed by dedicated technicians. Additionally, the practice provides an Ophthalmology referral service to practices throughout the South of England and hosts a weekly visiting Cert AVP (GSAS) for advanced orthopaedics.
Ideal candidates will bring fresh ideas and experiences, adding to the energy and positivity of the hard-working team. Contributions to case discussions, clinical meetings, and the provision of a progressive veterinary service to clients are highly valued. While the practice provides its own OOHs service, a hybrid OOHs vet team covers most of the night work, making the OOHs contribution negotiable and manageable.
What’s on offer? The very best support, clinical freedom, and top-tier equipment to help you succeed in your professional career. All this while living in an area of outstanding beauty, perfect for equestrian activities, cycling, sailing, walking, and enjoying beautiful beaches, ancient woodlands, and wildlife.
- Salary of up to £83,000 per annum (DOE and OOHs contribution)
- Staff discount scheme
- Generous CPD support, with Certificate study and Advanced Practitioner status well-supported and recognised
- 6 weeks holiday (including Bank Holidays)
- An extra day’s leave each year for the first 5 years
- Holiday buying scheme up to 2 weeks per annum
This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to thrive in a supportive, progressive environment. The team looks forward to meeting you!
