An exciting role awaits an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in a varied setting and is eager to contribute to a warm, collaborative team atmosphere. This permanent position offers a flexible schedule of 30-37 hours per week, typically spread over 3 or 4 days, with a 1:4 Saturday rota from 9am to 2pm. Notably, there are no out-of-hours or bank holiday commitments, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. The salary is competitive, up to £60,000 FTE, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit team of 4 FTE Vets, 6 RVNs, 4 Receptionists, and 1 Practice Manager. The practice promotes a collaborative approach across all areas, ensuring a cohesive and positive working environment. Key responsibilities include a mix of consultations and surgical procedures, some sole-charge shifts, mentoring vet students, and maintaining high standards of clinical care. The role offers ample clinical freedom to manage cases independently, with the support of a dedicated and friendly team.
Ideal candidates will be experienced and confident in general practice, friendly, supportive, team-focused, and comfortable with a balance of consults, surgery, and occasional sole charge. RCVS registration is essential. The practice seeks someone who will seamlessly integrate into its relaxed yet professional environment.
