Lead Clinical Director - Small Animal

This dual-site role offers a professionally rewarding position across two well-supported sites, set in the heart of the scenic Scottish Borders. Just 45 minutes from Edinburgh, the area boasts easy access to the capital while offering a relaxed lifestyle with a wealth of outdoor pursuits on your doorstep. 

The Team:

This Veterinary Practice; boasts a friendly, enthusiastic, and dedicated team. This mixed practice has a solid farm base and an ever-expanding companion animal component. It also houses the UK’s leading stem cell, regenerative medicine, and rehabilitation clinic, accepting referral cases from across the UK. The purpose-built large animal unit and referral unit include a hydrotherapy treadmill and qualified veterinary physiotherapists.

They are a long-established and successful mixed practice known for its enthusiasm and forward-thinking mindset. This purpose-built, RCVS-accredited practice holds the Bronze iiE Sustainability award and provides excellent care for small animals and farm animals in the rural town of Roxburghshire. Recent significant investments have enabled the development of modern facilities and an expansion of services, fostering a high-quality, progressive working environment.

What is sought:

- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Experience with practice leadership and the delivery of exceptional clinical care.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to engage and inspire through collaboration, together with a client-focused ethos.
- Confidence in performing clinical work in the Small Animal department.

The Package:

Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Scottish Borders
Job Type: Permanent Full-time
Hours: 40 hours – 4 or 5 day week plus 1 in 5 weekends OOH (with time off in lieu) and 1 night per week
