Registered Veterinary Nurse

Our clients are a small animal practice based in south Essex, just over 1 hour from London city centre by train or car and only 20 minutes from Southend-on-Sea for exploring and relaxing on your days off.  They are a small, passionate and progressive team who are constantly looking forward and aiming to offer the best possible treatment, care and services to their patients and clients.  

The practice itself offers a varied caseload to work up in their purpose-built premises which boasts state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, fully equipped endoscopy suite, Colibri 11 Synthes power drill, ENSEAL harmonic devices and access to a 16 slice CT scanner.  Allowing our clients to offer their patients a greater variety of treatment options including much less invasive surgical procedures, as well as providing the team with the opportunity to learn from an experienced clinician in practice, opening up new career paths if this is something you are interested in. 

The role itself is full time, permanent, working a 40 hour week, rotating between early, middle and evening shifts.  There are no out of hours requirements and just 1 in 5 weekends on rota.  Applicants will ideally be confident and outgoing, eager to learn and provide excellent care to your patients.  You will also ideally have some experience and/or qualifications in clinical coaching to help support and encourage the rest of the nursing team day to day.

In taking on this role you will be joining a friendly team of 5 Vets, 5 registered vet nurses, 4 student vet nurses and 7 support staff.  Having a strong support team looking after their clinical team day to day means the Vets can focus fully on treating and caring for their patients without additional distractions.
